WOODLAND CREEK SUBDIVISION
This project is a very large development under construction in Dallas, GA, outside of Atlanta. Unfortunately for the developer, they contracted with a paving company that was not experienced, nor equipped for this type of project. After they completed the base work and paving, the pavement immediately started to fail throughout the whole property.
We were referred to the developer by a long-time client and did a thorough evaluation of the pavement using a trusted hydro engineering firm. After the analysis it was determined that the existing asphalt needed to be milled down to the base, base material regraded and remediated as needed, then repaved with 2 inches of 9.5 mm asphalt topping with hydrated lime added. Additionally, as per Paulding County requirements, we milled and paved the required distance of Crocker Road, then re-painted all the traffic markings.
This is a very good example why paving contractors should be vetted thoroughly by the customer and only deal with reputable experienced contractors with the experience and equipment to perform and provide a long-lasting pavement. Now in our 43rd year of business, we have the experience, the crews, the equipment, and total support to get the job done right the first time!
