Here our crew is placing the final 2 inches on a new construction project for a large extended stay hotel chain. Scope of work required us to install 6 inches of GAB base material in the parking areas, 6 inches of GAB and 2 inches of 19 mm asphalt binder in the drive lanes. These areas were then topped with 2 inches of 9.5 mm asphalt topping after construction of the building was completed (as per photos). Another large part of the contract required us to pave.

The GA DOT decel lane as follows: 12 inches of GAB base material, 8 inches of 25 mm asphalt binder, 2 inches of 19 mm asphalt binder, apply liquid tack coat, then lay final layer of type 2 (9.5mm) asphalt topping 1.25 inches (compacted thickness). This work was inspected by county GA DOT inspectors during the installation.
