This new paving project is one of 6 that we have performed for Taco Bell over the last few years, 3 being new construction, and 3 being re-paving of remodeled stores. The scope of work on this particular project called for us to final grade and compact the sub-base, then pave as follows: HEAVY DUTY PAVEMENT, 8 inches of GAB (base material), 1 1/2 inches of type B asphalt binder, 1 1/2 inches of type F asphalt topping; STANDARD DUTY PAVEMENT, 6 inches of GAB, 2 inches of type F asphalt topping; and GA DOT RIGHT OF WAY, 12 inches of GAB, 5 inches of type A asphalt binder, 2 inches of type B asphalt binder, and 1 1/2 inches of type F asphalt topping. The finished paving was then striped.
