This is one of many de-cel lanes for our new construction projects. De-cel lanes are always heavy duty pavement, specified by the DOT, then monitored and inspected by DOT engineers. The specification on this job required 8 inches of GAB base material, followed by 4 inches of 25 mm asphalt binder, 2 inches of 19 mm asphalt binder, then 1½ inches of 9.5 asphalt topping.
